Artist Statement

My work explores the space between beauty and discomfort through observation, curiosity, and humor. Working across painting, drawing, and mixed media, I return to the human figure, still life, mortality, and the strange familiarity of ordinary things. I am interested in what we look at, what we overlook, and what becomes unsettling when we stop long enough to really see it.
